Performance - roll paper (dimensions variable) - brush or pastel and blue color
Mare Dentro is a performance that involves the audience, who become co-authors together with the artist in this exploration. The work aims to draw attention to a “sea” that flows within us every day, yet one to which we rarely pay attention.
In this era of social, technological, and environmental change, time passes like a raging river. We are overwhelmed by progress and transformation, and we start to perceive life in fractions of a second. Daily actions become fleeting moments, ephemeral memories, often shared online with an expiration date. Technology evolves month by month, leaving us with new objects that are already obsolete. Temperatures rise too quickly, and the climate changes at an alarming pace.
We do not listen to what moves or changes around us; we rely solely on sight, while sound becomes either a means of escape or a source of disturbance. In this performance, the audience will, for a moment, abandon sight as a tool for understanding. They will not seek sounds with their ears; instead, through touch, they will begin to listen. They will perceive the time that flows within us, our blood, which lives, moves, changes, and pulses differently, keeping us alive.
